Yura comes with three built-in roles that cover most team structures. Each role is a preset combination of permissions that determines what team members can see and do.
Owner
Full, unrestricted access. Owners can manage billing, create custom roles, edit any data, access the audit log, and delete the organization. Every org has at least one Owner.
Designate at least two Owners. If one leaves the organization, you won't lose access to billing, roles, or critical settings.
Manager
Can verify hours, run reports, manage events and groups, invite volunteers, and manage custom fields. Cannot change billing, delete the org, or modify roles.
Managers are your day-to-day operators. Give this role to program directors, volunteer coordinators, and team leads who need to run the program but shouldn't control billing or roles.
Event Coordinator
Can create and manage events, view RSVPs and attendance, and verify hours specifically for events they own. Cannot edit org-wide settings, manage other people's events, or access the full report builder.
Assign the Coordinator role to community members or volunteer leaders who organize specific events. They get enough access to run their event without seeing your full volunteer data.
If the built-in roles don't fit your structure, create a custom role with exactly the permissions you need — see the Custom Roles article.
