Goals keep you motivated. Set a target for hours, events, or a custom metric, pick a deadline, and Yura tracks your progress on your dashboard with notifications at key milestones.

    Creating a goal

    1. 1

      Open your profile

Click your avatar in the top right, then Profile.

    2. 2

      Click New Goal

In the Goals section, click New Goal.

    3. 3

      Pick a metric

Choose what to track: total verified hours, number of events attended, or a custom field (like meals served).

    4. 4

      Set a target and deadline

Enter your target value (e.g., 100 hours) and when you want to reach it (e.g., May 31, 2027).

    5. 5

      Save

Your goal appears on your dashboard with a progress bar and milestone notifications.

    Goal ideas

    • 100 verified hours by end of senior year (graduation requirement).
    • Attend at least 2 events per month for 12 months (consistency goal).
    • 50 hours at animal shelters (interest-specific goal).
Pro tip: Set goals slightly above requirements

If your school requires 75 hours, set your goal to 100. You'll hit the requirement with margin to spare, and the extra hours strengthen your application.

Pro tip: Break big goals into milestones

Yura notifies you at 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. If 100 hours feels overwhelming, just focus on reaching 25 hours first. The progress bar handles the psychology.
